My friend Gary's dad passed away this week. This family is familiar with loss, they've been in the ministry and Kimbra's mom passed a few years back. There is hope. The hope of seeing him again in heaven. I know this family well enough to say they'll be reunited and they'll be comforted by the Holy Spirit. Matt 5:4, one of the Beatitudes. Shortly after I was born, I was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. A slight case on my right side but it would lead to many early Friday morning appointments to Shriner's. Early Friday morning because that was the day of the week they scheduled all out patient services. All appointments were scheduled at 8:00 AM. They called patients first in / first out. So we were often the earliest people there.

Soft Suede that is. This is my first use of this years in colors. I think I like it best. In the past, I've picked up all six at once and to say the least, been over whelmed. At least I felt like I knew this baby's name was Aidan before his mom and dad confirmed it.My good friend Dana gave birth to her third baby on Sunday. He was born a very big boy, 9 lbs 13 oz to be exact. His left shoulder/arm was slightly injured while coming out of the birth canal but Mom and Dad were assured it will heal quickly. Now here's an easy card. I found something similar on page 130 of the SU catalog. I started to copy it then added the gentle twist of the changing the "border" ribbon to the ornament string. This is the name of this stamp by Stampabilities and the truest of truth! I like it and though the card is simple, I think it is completely finished. The other day, I cut the new Pink Pirouette ribbon and it didn't work for the card I was making at the time. Now I see why, it's beautiful and makes a big impression. OK, just after my post, I saw a great sample from Dawn Easton's blog and decided to redo this card. This time I changed the color to Real Red because it's my Real favorite. And, this blue really reminds me of denim. I like it. Have a great weekend.mftstamps.com

OK, I stayed up way too late making minor changes to this card.In my head, it worked out but on paper I made several alterations until I was ready to post. My friend's mom is turning 85 next week. She and two of her daughter's all live within two blocks of each other. They each built homes in Little Elm in the last few years. She's spry, kind and a joy to know. This card was made for her. All but the rhinestones:SUHave a great day.

The Bella dogs that is. I love this image but it was a lot to color, some small details.
